More Bling

Good Morning Ladies!

Well the weather has been beautiful.  Today is supposed to be great also.  Jess and Chris are thinking of taking the girls to the Zoo since the temperature is supposed to be so nice.  I have another lady coming to make a set of cards today.  Then I have 3 on Sunday for my last Christmas card class.  Busy weekend for me.

My workshop in December has a theme of “Bring on the Bling”.  I have shared 2 of the cards I have designed for the workshop.  In those cards I used some glitter ribbon, glimmer paper, iridescent embossing powder, and silver ribbon.  I thought I would show another way to add some bling.  For my card today I wanted to show the ladies some other ways to add bling.  You can add some glitter to your card using double sided tape.

I found a great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches that was perfect for this technique.

I did not want to use a snowflake since my other cards were snow related.  I also wanted them to see other themes for adding bling.  I pulled out my 1/2″ double sided tape and cut a flag in the end of it.  I then applied it to my card front.  I pulled off the backing and poured my glitter on top.  I pushed the glitter into the tape and dumped off the extra.  All I had to do was add my other elements.  I chose to use a butterfly so I stamped it and cut it out.  I added it to the card and attached my sequins.  My card was done.  Here is what my final card looks like.

Thanks for visiting me today!  I hope you take some time to be creative today as I know you have had a busy holiday.  Have a Super Saturday!
