Sparkly Snow

Hello Ladies!

I hope you all had a great Turkey Day!  Mine was very quiet.  I spent some time in my craft room working on some projects.  I got a few finished and a few almost completed.  I have some ladies coming this morning to make a project then this afternoon I will do some online shopping and work on some projects to post.  What are your plans?

Today I am playing along with The Paper Players and their sketch challenge.

I am working on my cards for my next monthly workshop.  I thought this sketch would be a good one to use for one of the cards.

I started with the tag element.  I decided to use a snowflake on the tag but did not want the natural look so I pulled out my silver ink and embossed it using some Iridescent Ice.  It is really sparkly now so all I had to do was add a silver ribbon.  I wanted to use a different color as I had used Soft Sky on another card.  I decided to use Wisteria Wonder.  I cut my panel to put my tag on and rounded my corners.  I wanted a white background so I needed something other than Wisteria Wonder for the banner.  I decided to use Smoky Slate and then cut out the word “Snow” instead of a banner.   I traced it with my glitter pen so it is sparkly also.  Here is what my final creation looked like.  I am sure the ladies will love it!

Thanks for visiting me today.  Are you going to be doing some Black Friday shopping?  I used to brave the crowds years ago but not lately.  I would rather do my shopping online and avoid the pushing and shoving.  Have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. Sorry you had to spend the day by yourself….but thinking you enjoyed yourself and a quiet house! We had nine for dinner and another nephew and family joined us for dessert…plus my sister/bill were here for dinner as well. Noises and fun but glad to have the mess to deal with as they left…helps me come down from the day! Today I relaxed and then got ready and left for lab tests…..came home and had a turkey dandwich and started putting dishes and glassware away. Will do some more shortly….the weekend will entail a movie/lunch tomorrow and my husband and I will celebrate our 45th anniversary…by going out for dinner. Sunday will be for relaxing! Take good care…hope your ladies enjoyed the card making!
