One Sheet Wonder Warmth of Christmas

It’s the weekend ladies ~ are you ready for my One Sheet Wonder Warmth of Christmas idea for today?

Well it is day 2 of our shopping.  I will make sure I get whatever I could not find yesterday.  I was working like a crazy woman before I left.  When I get home on Sunday I only have Monday before I leave again to go to Orlando for OnStage.  That meant I had to get all my pillow gifts completed before I left on Thursday.  I am happy to say that at 5:30 on Thursday evening I finished up my pillow gifts.  I just knew I would be working on them into the night on Thursday.  I was so glad I finished them.  That meant I could work on next weeks 12 Weeks of Christmas tutorial.  I need to get that done and posted before I leave on Monday so you get the tutorial on Saturday.  I have been a busy girl!

Today I am continuing with my One Sheet Wonder idea.  This is card 4.  For this one you will need the 2 triangles made when you cut one of the rectangles in half.  Using a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock we are going to make a layer.  Cut the at 3 1/4″ x 4″ then use your paper trimmer to cut the rectangle in half diagonally.  Mount the All Is Bright dsp triangles onto the Cherry Cobbler triangles.  Add your triangles to a Very Vanilla card base.  Depending on how your cut your rectangle in half diagonally you may have your triangles on opposite sides of mine.  Does not matter which side they are on.  Now take a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green card stock and you will be cutting out a frame ~ I used the squares that will give you a 2″ and 2 1/2″ square ~ but base the squares you use on the size of square you need to cut out for your sentiment to fit inside.  You will place the larger square down on your paper and then position the smaller square inside to form an even border all the way around.  Use some painters tape to hold the 2 squares together so they do not slip.  Cut out the one frame then use the same procedure to cut out the other frame.  Now we are ready to make the sentiment element.  Take one frame (green for me) and set it down on your table.  Take the other frame (red for me) and turn it diagonally and insert the top point from the underneath of the green frame overtop the top line of the green frame.  See photo below.

Now take the bottom point of the red frame and pull it overtop the green frame.  This takes some work but take your time so you do not rip your frames.  If you have done this correctly you till have 2 points (top and bottom) on the outside the green frame and 2 points (one on each side) underneath the green frame.  See photo below.

Play with the 2 frames to make them even on all sides.  See photo below.

Stamp your sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink onto Very Vanilla card stock.  Use the smaller square from above to cut our your sentiment.  Flip your frame over to the back and add glue to the parts in the picture below.

Take your sentiment square and lay it inside the regular square (mine is the green one).  The glue now holds the sentiment square in place.  See photo below.

If you have done it correctly, when you flip it over yours should look like the one in the photo below.

To add your sentiment element to your card we are going to use dimensionals.  Flip your square frame over and add either a half a dimensional or a mini dimensional in the areas shown in the picture below.

We also need to support the red frame.  Add a half dimensional or mini dimensional to the red frame like the picture below.

You can now add your sentiment element to the center of your card.  You have now completed your One Sheet Wonder Warmth of Christmas card 4.  Here is what yours should look like.
