Masculine Card

I have missed making my cards. Life has been so crazy here. I do have my cards made for my Catalog Dinner and just need to make the cards for my workshop. I decided to work today on a bunch of cards to post the rest of this week and next week while I am on vacation.
Today I wanted to use the sketch from Mothersanddaughters. I also wanted to use some cute Penny Black stamps I recently ordered. Here is the sketch and my card.

Stamps: Missed You (Penny Black), So Many Sayings (retired) Paper: Gable Green, Green Galore, white, DCWV Spring and Summer Stack (last year) Ink: Green Galore, Staz-on Black
Accessories: Blush Blossom-Pretty in Pink-Gable Green-Going Gray-Green Galore- Pumpkin Pie-Summer Sun markers, Silver Gray marker (Marvy), large and small oval punch, silver mini brads, dimensionals

Don’t you just love this guy! He is too cute. Stop in tomorrow and I will have another card for you. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

STAMPIN’ UP! PARTNERING WITH SIZZIX!

Stampin’ Up! announced at the 2008 Convention that they have partnered with Sizzix. Starting in early September customers will be able to order the Big Shot for Stampin’ Up! and accessories! They will also offer 7 exclusive dies, that will coordinate with Stampin’ Up! stamps sets, along with other dies. Stay tuned for more info!

It’s important to note that there are different types of dies.

  • Originals, Bigz, and Bigz XL dies. These steel ruled dies cut through virtually any material and multiple sheets of card stock and Designer Series paper.
  • Sizzlets dies. These dies are small and detailed, often creating scored or perforated details. These dies cut through thin materials, and multiple sheets are not recommended.

Monthly ATC

This month the challenge was to use black or brown and one other color. I saw a torn paper rose on Julie’s blog and wanted to give it a try. I decided to use brown as my main color. The actualy rose is really easy to make using Julie’s video. I sprayed my paper with glimmer mist before teaching to give it some sparkle. Here is my ATC.

Stamps: Circle of Friendship Paper: Chocolate Chip, Confetti White Ink: Accessories: Dew Drops, ribbon, circle punches, sticky tape, dimensionals

Hope you liked this one. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Sketch Challege from Saturday

Well I am not able to transfer my pictures from my camera to my laptop unless I use a card reader. I will be trying one to see if I like it. I have to play with the downloads as I am not happy with this picture. I will give this a try on the next one. Editted new picture. Problem was not card reader but camera operator error! 🙂

Today’s card was made using Taylor’sCupcakeChallenge sketch. I searched for a sketch and this is the one I liked the best. Here is her sketch and my card.

Stamps: Daisy Frame from Magenta (they do not name their stamps) Paper: Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Le Jardin DSP Ink: Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Basic Black, River Rock, So Saffron Accessories: Ric Rac ribbon, rhinestones, large oval punch, aqua painter, sticky tape, dimensionals

Thanks for bearing with me in my camera dilemma. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Camera troubles

I wanted to let you know of some problems that may affect my posting this week. I am staying at a friend’s house to take care of his dog. I brought my laptop and was going to plan on posting from it. I went looking for my software and could not find it. I have contacted the company to see if I can download it. I am hoping it will work out so I can show you what I have done. Hopefully I will get the download tomorrow and be able to post the card I made for Taylor’s Cupcake Challenge. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!
