Painted Floral Swag flowers

Hello everyone – I went for a clean and simple idea with the Painted Floral Swap flowers card.

I played with the Light Yellow and Sweet Mint card stock from CutCardstock today. I wanted some soft pastel color and these were perfect.

Today’s Project

I used a new stamp I just got that was a single flower and leaf and a coordinating die from Altenew. I stamped it with Memento Gray Flannel ink as it is not as harsh as black. For the flowers I sponged some ink in the center and for the leaves I traced the detail lines with the Altenew Green Field alcohol marker.

To add some interest and texture I used the Stampin’ Up Exposed Brick embossing folder. I think it is a great background for the flowers.

I wanted my sentiment background layer darker so I used some Altenew Green Field ink and sponged it onto some white cardstock. It gave me a nice Spring Green color.

I have used the CutCardstock for several other projects. I embossed the background and then inked it up on this card. This card uses some ink blending. Both of these cards use the Cougar White Smooth for these techniques.
