Paisleys and Posies by Stampin’ Up

Good Morning Everyone ~ the Paisleys & Posies by Stampin’ Up stamp set has a variety of images you can use on your cards.

The weekend is finally here.  I still have a lot to do to get my closet ready for the painters on Monday.  I will be spending some time today working on it.  I have also decided to organize my items a little better.  After my workshop today I am going to take all my stamps and put them in my craft room.  That will allow me to be able to deal with them in a more organized way.  I will also then organize the rest of my stuff by categories.  My hope is that this way I can deal with one pile at a time rather than spinning my wheels with an unorganized pile.  Wish me luck!

I saw a photo online at a challenge blog.  I loved the rug in the photo so I decided to use it for my background of my card.  The photo had a black and white striped rug that was split and the stripes were offset.  I found a striped piece in the Tutti-Frutti dsp and used it to recreate the look.  I started with a piece that was 3 3/4″ wide but longer than I needed. I cut an inch off of one side.  Then I set the 2 piece down beside each other and offset the stripes on the 1″ piece.  I cut down the paper so they were the size I needed for my card front and attached to my panel.  The gorgeous Whisper White 1/4″ organza ribbon was added overtop of the seam.  The panel was then added to the Whisper White card base.  The flower from Paisleys & Posies was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Daffodil Yellow card stock.  The coordinating framelits were used to cut out the flowers.  To attach the flowers, dimensionals were used.  My sentiment was stamped with the Memento ink and then punched out with the 1 3/8″ scallop circle punch and a 1 1/2″ circle punch in Daffodil Delight  was used as the bottom layer.  The sentiment layer was added to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Paisleys & Posies by Stampin’ Up card.
