Paper Hugs for CutCardStock

Hello everyone – today’s idea uses die cuts to create a pretty Paper Hugs for CutCardStock card.
I used a couple of shades of a pretty teal for the focal image on today’s card. I also love the sentiment from a new stamp set I recently got.
Today’s Project
I was inspired by a card I saw online. I chose to use a squares stencil to create the background. A soft gray ink was used to keep the main focus on the focal image. To create the focal image I used a layering ovals set and used 2 different sizes. The ovals were cut from a light and dark aqua. Those same colors were used to cut out the flower.

The background of the oval was created using a dot stencil and a shade of ink just a little darker than the cardstock. The flower was created using the same 2 colors as the ovals. The sentiment is a general one that could be used for a thinking of you or sympathy card. To finish it off a crystal gem was added to the center of the flowers.

Oval shapes can be layered like on today’s idea or staggered for a fun focal image like this one. You can also use different size ovals to create a frame like this idea.
