Hello Stampers!
Well the dentist went well. I have no cavities again. I am always glad to hear that when I go. The older you get the more teeth issues can have so I always am afraid I will need a crown or root canal. So for the next 6 months things are fine.
The Paper Plunge is celebrating Memorial Day. Our challenge this week is to create a patriotic project. I borrowed a set from my friend that I knew I could use for this card. I had an idea in my mind that I wanted to use. After I did the Shimmer Block technique a few days ago I decided I wanted to see if I could use it on my card today. I wanted to see if I could create a flag background using the technique. I inked up my block and spritzed it. I then laid my paper onto the block and pressed down. I lifted the paper and was quite surprised. My image was backwards! I totally forgot that you have to reverse the image when you color it. I also realized that my colors kinda bled so instead of a white background I had a pink one. I cleaned my block and recolored the blue square on the right hand side this time. Then I added my red lines. I spritzed it with the shimmer spray and set my paper on top. This time I did not press but lifted the paper off the block. Much better. I had one spot where the ink did not transfer to the paper. So I took my block and turned it over and stamped it on the paper. The ink transferred this time. I had a great flag that was sparkly. Here is my creation.
