Hello Everyone ~ an idea for a wedding card is shared today with my Pink and Gray Stampin’ Up Butterflies creation.
Wow did the weather really change yesterday. I got up and took Bijou out and it was chilly. The temperature was about 68 degrees. I had water aerobics and while the weather was not bad once you got wet and stood up you were cold because of a breeze. I managed to keep moving so I was not too cold. Once it was over I had to rush home for a phone call. In the afternoon I ran some errands as I had to pick up some supplies for my Facebook Live idea and then hit my studio. I had some In Color cards to make for the ladies who are part of the club, make my Facebook Live card for tonight, and even managed to make 2 of my August workshop cards. It was a productive afternoon!
Today I am sharing an idea that was inspired by a card I saw online. I saw the card decided to see what I could create. The colors were inspired by a color challenge I saw that had expired. The original card had the flower spray from the Beauty Abounds set along the bottom and up the right hand side of the panel. I chose to stamp mine along the left hand side of the panel with Basic Gray ink instead. I used a Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo marker to color the image. Using the Smoky Slate reinker and alcohol I dyed the Silver metallic edge ribbon to match the colors I was using. This ribbon was added to the panel and a bow was added using glue dots. This panel was then attached to a Basic Gray card base. I then used the Butterfly Beauty dies to cut out 2 of the butterflies that are on the outside. I cut each butterfly with Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo card stock. I layered the 2 butterflies using Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the center. The butterflies were then spritzed using Frost White shimmer spray. Once the butterflies were dry they were added to the card base using dimensionals. To add more sparkle, I added strips of rhinestones down the center of the butterflies. Here is my completed Pink and Gray Stampin’ Up Butterflies creation.
