Happy Monday Everyone ~ I recently got the Pretty Kitty from Stampin’ Up set to make cards for the girls.
I’m not sure what our plans for today are. Sometimes we go shopping and other times we play in Barb’s craft room. We always have fun what ever we do. Maybe I can convince her to look at furniture so I can get an idea of what I can get to decorate my new house. I know I will need a new chair when I get there as I will not have anything to sit on.
Speaking of new, are you getting anxious to see the new catalog? What are you hoping you find in the new catalog? I hope you have seen the new colors. I am so excited that Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss are back. I am anxious to see Blueberry Bushel. I like what I see in the flyer but I need to see the paper to get a good feel for the true color. I am loving the Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather but again I want to see the paper to see if I still love them. I will be able to order them on May 2nd so I will get a good idea of how I feel about them.
I ordered the Pretty Kitty stamp set to make cards for the girls. I thought it was time for the set to see some ink so I pulled it out for my cards for today. I saw this layout and knew it would be great for a card using this stamp set. I began with the Whole Lot of Lovely dsp and the Lots of Labels framelits. I used one of the larger framelits to cut out the dsp. I then used a framelit 2 sizes down to cut out the Blushing Bride panel. I stamped my Kitty with Basic Gray and colored her in using a Smokey Slate marker. the ears, nose, and ribbon were colored with a Blushing Bride marker. I then fussy cut the image. My card base is Basic Gray and I added a panel of Whisper White. I used the sentiment from Jar of Love and stamped it using Basic Gray ink at the bottom. This was done to help with the placement of the Labels. The layering for the labels began with the dsp that was attached to the Whisper White panel. I used a piece of retired Blushing Bride baker’s twine and wrapped it around the bottom of the Blushing Bride label. Then I added the Blushing Bride panel using dimensionals. The kitty was added using dimensionals. My card was completed. Since I need another card I used a different image but the same layout for the second Pretty Kitty from Stampin’ Up creation. Here are both of the cards.

Since we’ve become the crazy cat people around here – this is a really cute card! And the same color as my kitty! He would probably rather have a blue theme.
Oh I will have to keep that in mind ~ a blue theme! Thanks!
