Good Morning Everyone ~ I am so excited about our Product Focus!
Amanda and I did some brainstorming last week and decided to see if we could add some more people to our Product Focus group. We found several more people who want to join us. Over the next few weeks you should see some new blogs in our hop. Make sure you welcome them!
I managed to get a few things made yesterday. I have my cards for my blog through Sunday so I am glad about that. Will be working on my Suite Envy class the next few days.
Our Product Focus this week is again the Hey Chick stamp set. If you don’t have this set you can get it by placing a $50 order and then it is free! Don’t you love free!!!!!
I decided to combine the chicks with the Hardwood background. I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the background using Smoky Slate. I used the Layering Circles to cut out a hole in the front. Using a piece of Smoky Slate and the Stitched Framelits – the 2 largest – I cut out a ring. This was attached to the hole in the background with Tombow Multipurpose glue. This was set aside to dry. The chicks from the stamp set were stamped on Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used ink in the lid and a blender pen to color the chicks. After they were colored, I fussy cut them out. They were attached to the back side of the Hardwood piece with a glue dot. A Smoky Slate card base was created and then the front was embossed using the new Hexagon dynamic textured embossing folder. I then added the hardwood layer using dimensionals and my card was completed. Here is my completed creation.
