Hello Everyone ~ I have an unusual Quick and Easy Halloween Card for you today.
I have a busy day today. I am going to a yard sale this morning that is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. This is a very popular yard sale. I am looking for some puzzles so that I have something to do when I have some free time. I may look at the books also just to see what they have. After the yard sale I have a conference call that was rescheduled from yesterday. After the conference call I am headed to the post office, the builder, and the flooring store. It will be a busy day! The afternoon errands won’t take long. I hope I remember to pick up some priority boxes at the post office for the girls Halloween goodies. I went yesterday and totally forgot to get them. Good thing I had to go back today.
In continuing with Halloween week, I used a thinlit that is not associated with Halloween. I have the Happy Birthday thinlit and decided to cut out the Happy part and use it for my card. I used Basic Black to cut out the Happy part of the thinlit and cut off the part I did not need. I attached it to my card base. Then using the Make a Difference stamp set, I stamped the word Halloween in Pumpkin Pie under the thinlit. I used some of the Pick a Pattern washi tape to add a strip under the sentiment. The jack-o-lantern from Seasonal Chums was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I wanted to use the Watercolor Markers to color in the image. After I started I did not like how it was working. I pulled out the marker and colored over the pencil. In doing this you do not get the lines you usually get when you color with a marker. I decided to color the whole image with the pencil and then use the marker on top. It worked in eliminating the marker coloring lines. I finished coloring the image in this manner and then used the coordinating framelit to cut it out. It was attached to my card base using dimensionals. To finish the card, I added some black Faceted Dots. Here is my completed Quick and Easy Halloween Card.
