Hello Ladies ~ are you ready for another Quick and Easy Handmade Christmas Card?
Today was supposed to be my trip back home. Last week one of my best friend’s father passed away. The funeral is today so I postponed my trip home for a day to go to the funeral. I will travel back home tomorrow.
Saturday night we took the girls to the local farm that is highly decorated and has animals the kids can pet. We had had rain all day and it was still raining until about 6:00 pm. We were hoping they had the animals opened but when we got there, the animals were closed. We could still drive through to see the decorations but Jess will have to take the girls back another day to see the animals. Zoie was bummed and Remi was asleep so she did not know any different. Not sure when she will go back or if she will wait until I come up for Christmas.
Today’s card is suited for the casual stamper. It is an easy card but the beginner stamper may not have all the supplies she would need to recreate it. I began with another piece of the All Is Bright designer series paper. This piece measures 3 3/4″ x 5″. This card is very similar to the card I shared on Saturday as the designer series paper measurements are the same. This is another way you can use the same size designer series paper to get 2 different looks. I wanted to use a different color with the designer series paper and opted to use the pine cone colors for the backing. I tried Soft Suede and did not like it so I went with Early Espresso. This layer measured 4″ x 5 1/4″. I attached the piece of designer series paper to it and then attached this panel to my Shaded Spruce card base. A strip of Cherry Cobbler that measured 1″ x 4″ was added across the center. The trees from the Timeless Tidings stamp set were stamped repeatedly without reinking onto a piece of 2″ x 2″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock to get different shades of color. This piece was then added to a piece of 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ gold glimmer paper. To finish off my Quick and Easy Handmade Christmas Card I added a gold cord bow using a glue dot. Here is the completed creation.
