Simple Saturday – masculine

Hello Ladies!

I hope everyone had a great start to their weekend yesterday.  I did a little stamping as well as helped Zoie start on making her Valentine’s for her Preschool party.  We got the card base scored and cut, the ribbon cut and bows tied, the punched pieces completed, the sentiment stamped, and the layer embossed.  We still need to cut the patterned paper and put the card together.  We will work on it a little at a time so they will be done in time for her to sign her name inside.  Then we are going to use the Paper Pumpkin kit from this month to make some little bags with some M&M’s inside.  She will love that part.  I will make sure to take some pictures to share with you.

Today is my Simple Saturday share.  I decided to do a masculine card today.  Every once in a while I get a request for a masculine card to purchase so I have been trying to do a few here and there.  I pulled out some of the Maritime ds paper.  I chose some that looked very nautical. I paired it with The Open Sea stamp set.

Once I had my stamp set and paper I needed a layout.  I checked out my challenge blogs and saw a sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

I decided this would be a good sketch to use.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Make sure you come back tomorrow to see how I stepped it up.

Thanks for visiting me today.  What plans do you have for today?  I am going to try and play a little so I can work ahead.  Have a Super Saturday!

Robbie
