Sketch Frenzy Friday – Friendly Words

Happy Friday Stampers!

Since it is Friday that means it is time for another Sketch challenge.  The Sketch Frenzy Friday team has some great sketches.  The one this week was designed by Jennifer Weide.  Here is what she gave us to work with.

I loved the simplicity of this sketch and decided to work with it.  I saw from another blogger how you can take a wheel of sayings and use only select sayings so I decided I wanted to do that.  I took the rubber off the wheel and cut the saying out of the strip.  I will have to cut the other sentiments apart.  I  mounted it on foam and now I have a new sentiment stamp.  I used it for my card.  I also played with the new edgelits to create the top and bottom of my sentiment layer.  Finally I played with a braided ribbon treatment as the card needed something.  Here is what I created with Jennifer’s sketch.

I did not decorate an envelope as I was not sure how to decorate it.  What are your thoughts?  What would you do to decorate the envelope?

Now it is time to head on over to Sharon Wheet’s blog to see what she did with the sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. Cute card! I love how you used the Adorning Accents edgelits! Very clever!

  2. Wowee! Robbie. I really like how you changed up the ribbon treatment — so cool. And the slight off kilter cut of the edgelit makes it so much more interesting. Great job!

  3. Love how you played with the Edgelits on your focal image. And I never thought of cutting out the sentiments on the Wheels Thanks for the Hot Tip!

  4. I love the braided thingy (thingy is a technical term hee hee). Your treatment of the card is really nice. I think you nailed this one.
