The snow that just won’t end!

Hello Everyone!

I am writing this at 10 on Wednesday evening and it is still snowing here. It has been snowing all day. They keep saying it will end soon but every time they show the weather map, there is still a large band over St. Mary’s County. I guess I can be thankful that I did not loose my electricity!
I had 2 snow shovels. They are held together with rivets. I lost the first one after the Christmas snowstorm. I was shoveling on Tuesday and noticed the second one has lost one of the rivets. I wonder how long that one will last. As soon as I can get out I am headed to get another shovel. Have to be prepared for the next storm which they say could be Monday!
I have a little 9 month old papillon and she is about 12″ tall and only weighs 6 1/2 pounds. It is so funny to see her out is the snow. She just frollics from snow drift to snow drift. She loves eating it and running all around. I guess that is the puppy in her. She is so fun to watch. Okay on to today’s card.
I used 3 challenges for today. I used the color challenge from the Cards & Things challenge blog. You were to use Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red. I used the sketch from the Stamping 411 blog. I also added an embossed panel so it fits the Late Night Stampers challenge to using embossing on your card.
I played with my new corner and border punch. I watched a video on the Stampin’ Up website that was really good about the border and corner punches. It was very helpful. Here is the link for the video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5P08A1eftk. It took a little figuring out but I was able to punch the panel all the way around. The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory. Here is the sketch and my creation.
