Sponged Swallowtail

Hello Stampers!

Well yesterday was not a good day.  I was changing Remi’s diaper and bent over and had horrible pain in my back.  I thought I had just caught it wrong so I stood up and stretched and moved around a bit and then bent over again but the pain was still there.  I had to have Jess come get Remi.  I called the chiropractor thinking it was sciatica again.  Made an appointment and got in within a few hours.  He did a few things but I was in worse pain.  I had to go home and ice it and take short walks.  I also had an acupuncture appointment so he did some work with magnets and electrical stimulation and said to apply heat.  I am still in some pain and I don’t move very fast.  I am hoping taking it easy today and applying heat will help.  I am much more comfortable when I stand and luckily I stand to craft so I am still able to make some beauties for you.

My card today used the coloring I did where I embossed an image and then sponged on ink on top.  I chose my colors from the challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches

This also fits the challenge at Addicted to CAS  which was to use a Butterfly.

After I sponged my butterfly I stamped some leaves on the card.  All I needed to do was add a bow.  Here is my completed creation.

For my coloring today I decided to do a little coloring on vellum.  I stamped my image on vellum with white craft ink.  I then embossed it with white.  I flipped it over and colored it with markers.  Here is what the finished product looks like.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be taking it easy and relaxing as well as doing some walking in hopes my back gets better.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Robbie

  1. So sorry about your back. I hope it gets better really fast, and hopefully with no more intervention necessary. You do great work standing up. Love the butterfly, and your color challenge is very pretty too. Take care, and hugs to you.

  2. Your swallowtail butterfly is a showstopper. Just lovely!

  3. Soooo sorry about your back! It does not take much for us to put things out…I have been seeing my chiropractor for a few weeks due to a tweeked shoulder muscle…was thinking about acupuncture but not sure who could refer me and if Medicate (oops…!lol!) would cover it. Getting MUCH better, happy to say and am sure you will be soon as well! Take good care and try not to bend over – Zoie will understand as well! Love your butterfly card and the new ribbon is a beautiful accent…great job!
