Hello Stampers ~ I have a soft Stained Glass Beautiful Day butterfly for you today.
Well I met with one landscaper yesterday. He presented his plan. I was not thrilled. He had a lot of yellow and green plants. I like my color so I was looking for flowering bushes. I then went by the place for the other landscaper and he showed me what he had in mind and told me what it would cost. With all he wants to do I am coming in under budget. Not much but still under budget. He also listened to me and has given me flowering bushes so I will have color. He has also designed it so I can add some perennials in between to get more color. He also mentioned the standing water in the back and has come up with a way to address that. I think I have decided which one I will go with. I am supposed to get his plan and the plants he wants to use in the next few days so I can make some decisions. I will be looking at plants online over the next few days!
I wanted to play with the Beautiful Day stamp set and the pretty butterfly in it. I chose to use Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, and Crushed Curry markers to color the butterfly. I then cut the butterfly out. I created some stencils using the 3/4″, 1″, and 1 1/4″ circle punches. I then used the stencils to sponge on some Soft Sea Foam ink to create a fun bokeh background. I added some the Basic Black shimmer ribbon and a bow from the same ribbon at the top of the bokeh background panel. This panel was added to a Soft Sea Foam card base. I stamped the body and antennae using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the card front. The stained glass cut out butterfly was then added to the card front over top the stamped body using dimensionals. My Stained Glass Beautiful Day creation is complete!
