Stampin’ Up Cottage Rose slimline

Stampin’ Up Cottage Rose slimline

Hello Everyone – I have another layout to share with you today with my Stampin’ Up Cottage Rose slimline card idea.

I use layouts a lot in my crafting. Our catalogs has lots of ideas that you can either C.A.S.E. or change it slightly. Vicky and I are teaming up again this month to show you how you can use our catalogs for your card layouts.

Today’s layout was from page 62 of the mini catalog.

I looked at this one and again saw a slimline card. Now I needed a large flower image. I thought the Cottage Rose would be a great one to use. Here is what I came up with using this layout.

I love the images in this stamp set. The open line images allow you to use a variety of ways to color it. Click on the image below and check out this bundle. You don’t want to miss this bundle.

Love the shading on the rose that was achieved using the Watercolor pencil. Adds an interest to your image so it does not feel so flat.

Do you stamp the inside of your card and envelope? Great way to carry the theme all the way through. I just used the stamp colored with marker rather than adding some watercolor pencil.

The black and white gingham ribbon makes the flower for the Stampin' Up Cottage slimline card pop off the page.

Now that you have seen my card, make sure to check out Vicky’s card to see what she did with the layout.

So that you have the layout and measurements, here is all that you need to make your card.

I have used these stamps for a variety of ways to color it. I used glycerin coloring for the rose on this card. For this card I used a marker to trace the highlight lines to add some light shading.

Have you used the watercolor pencils and the blender pen to shade your images? Give it a try and see if you like this technique.

I hope you were inspired by my Stampin’ Up Cottage Rose slimline card as well as Vicky’s idea for our layout this week.

Have a Sensational Sunday!
