Stampin’ Up Detailed With Love in Highland Heather

Hello Ladies ~ are you ready for a Stampin’ Up Detailed With Love in Highland Heather gorgeous card?

It took me almost all day yesterday to finish 2 cards.  I don’t know why it took so long as they are not elaborate cards.  I did have to spend a little time locating my supplies I needed but not where it should have taken me all day!  Maybe I was just taking my time, who knows.  Today I am headed to the yarn store for the morning.  I am slowly working my way through my sister’s shawl.  It has 38 stitches on a row and the row pattern has 19 rows.  I have to repeat this 19 row pattern for 19 times.  Add to that the fact that it has beads I have to move onto my stitches and it is not going as fast as you would think.  I will keep at it and get it done.  Tonight I am watching the girls for a couple hours until the babysitter can get to the house.  Jess had planned an event with a sitter but then the time changed so I am covering until the sitter can get there.  We will have dinner and then go to the playground.

Today’s stamp set on my Catalog Journey is Detailed With Love.  I love the sentiments in this set!  They are perfect for many different occasions.  For my creation I used the large oval sentiment and stamped it using Highland Heather ink.  The Stitched Shapes framelits were used to cut out the sentiment.  I also used some Silver Glimmer paper and the Layering Ovals to cut out the layer.  The 2 ovals were layered using glue dots.  The large flourish in the Flourish Thinlits was used to cut out the shape.  The flourish was glued to the Whisper White panel.  The 3/8″ silver metallic edged ribbon was added to the lower part of the panel.  The panel was then glued to the Highland Heather card base.  My sentiment layer was added with dimensionals.  To finish off my Stampin’ Up Detailed With Love in Highland Heather creation I added the bow using glue dots.
