Stampin’ Up Flowering Rain Boots in Poppy Parade
Happy Friday Stampers – a colorful Stampin’ Up Flowering Rain Boots in Poppy Parade card is the share for today.
I had not idea how I was going to use this pattern paper from the Flowering Fields collection. I have a hard time with pink sky and clouds. Using it as a background on my card today you don’t even notice it is clouds. What do you think?
I love this bundle and was so sad it did not carry over to the new catalog. You have 1 month left to add it to your collection.
Who wouldn’t love pot of tulips on their front porch? I used the stamps to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.
Today’s card was created in Poppy Parade. Check out this idea that uses Just Jade. The Butterflies and Flowers masks were perfect for this background that used the flower pots and flowers for the card front.
Measurements for Stampin’ Up Flowering Rain Boots in Poppy Parade
Note – this card is created in the landscape mode
Card Base: Whisper White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and scraps for stamping and die cutting
Poppy Parade: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Early Espresso: scrap for die cutting
Flowering Fields pattern paper: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ – pink cloud pattern
Let’s make it!
- affix all stamps to blocks
- fold and burnish the card base
- add the panel of the Flowering Fields pattern paper to the panel of Poppy Parade
- glue the panel from above to the card base
- use the lattice die and the Early Espresso card stock to cut out 3 of the lattices
- attach 1 of the lattice to the card front using dots of glue on the points of the lattice – make sure the center of the lattice is across the middle of the card front, use a ruler to keep it straight if need be
- using the same procedure for the glue from above, add the second lattice below the first nesting the 2 lattices and making sure the bottom lattice goes all the way to the edge of the panel
- repeat the same procedure to add the third lattice at the top of the ones already glued in place and again making sure the top lattice goes all the way to the edge – Note – the top and bottom lattice are even with 1 side of the card front and the middle panel is all the way over to the other side. Trim the sides if needed
- stamp the following images on scrap White as below:
- flower pots – Cinnamon Cider – 3
- flower cluster – Daffodil Delight – 2
- tulip stems – Shaded Spruce
- tulip blooms – Poppy Parade
- use coordinating dies to cut out the above stamped images – Note the tulip stems will need to have the 2 stems on the left cut off
- the tulips are in the center so add one flower pot in the center of the card front with the bottom of the pot just above the bottom point of the lattice using dimensionals
- add the tulip stems to the flower pot so the bottom is even with the top of the outside rim of the flower pot using dimensionals
- use dimensionals to add the the tulip heads to the stems – Note – you will need to cut the 2 tulip heads on the left off to match up with the stems
- center one of the remaining flower pots in the space between the center flower pot and edge of the card and attach to the card front using dimensionals
- add one of the flower clusters to the flower pot using dimensionals
- add the remaining flower pot and flower cluster to the other side of the card front using the steps as above
- stamp the part of the sentiment by masking the bottom with a post-it note with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of White
- trim the sentiment and flag the ends then add it to the lower right of the card front
