Hello Everyone ~ I used a different color combo for my Stampin’ Up Frosted Bouquet Clean and Simple creation.
Well I am on my way to Maryland today. I am not sure I have everything I need packed but if not I will make due. I have my baby gifts but just realized I do not have a baby card. I guess I will be working on that along with all the other stuff I packed to work on. Have no idea what I am going to do but will come up with something. Guess I need to do that tonight so I can take the ink and stamps I need.It is never ending at my house!
We have a sketch challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
This sketch was very interesting and really made me do some thinking. I decided to break the sketch down into different elements to make it easier. I took the ornaments and went looking for a stamp set that had 3 images in it. First Frost came to my rescue as it has 2 different size roses. Next was the oval. I decided to use the Frosted Bouquet dies and use the rectangle. Now I had the rectangle in the background. I thought I would use the sprigs to substitute for the shape. Now to decide on my colors. I recently saw a card created by a lady on the Artisan Design Team. I decided to use the color she had used as they were different from what I would ever choose. So the large rose was stamped using Calypso Coral and the smaller roses used Grapefruit Grove. I decided to stamp the thistle using Smoky Slate. The stamped images were all cut out using the coordinating dies. For the rectangle I cut the smaller one out of Whisper White and the larger one out of Calypso Coral. For the sprigs to take the place of the background rectangle I used Crumb Cake and cut out 4 of them. I layered the 2 rectangles then added the roses. The stems of the thistles were pushed under the roses and a glue dot was used to attach them to the rectangles. Glue dots were used to attach the sprigs on each side making sure the completed element would not be wider than the card base. To add some texture the Subtle embossing folder was used to emboss the card front. The completed element was then added to the card front using dimensionals. Here is the completed Stampin’ Up Frosted Bouquet Clean and Simple creation.

Here are some suggestions for other color combinations you may like. For my Beautiful Friendship creation here I used Blushing Bride, Pretty Peacock, and Soft Sea Foam. For a masculine color combo try Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, and Very Vanilla. Lot’s of great ideas.
Make sure you head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Papercrafting Challenge Blog to see what the other ladies did with this sketch. There are some fabulous ideas!
