Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape

Hello Everyone ~ another swap I did was the Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape card.

Well I got home yesterday afternoon and I was exhausted.  I took a nap after I did a few things as I just could not keep my eyes open.  After that I unpacked and did some laundry.  Even with the nap I went to bed early so I could try and catch up on some sleep.

OnStage was very busy and I made lots of new friends as well as caught up with longtime friends.  Here are some photos of all the friends I saw at the event.

I needed another general swap idea.  I had planned on taking about 75 general swaps with me along with the 2 organized swaps I was doing.  I thought it would be fun to use some washi tape on the card as I wanted to show others how to use it in a different way.  I had the Pick a Pattern washi tape and it is black and white so all I needed to do was to pair it with a color.  I love Bermuda Bay with black so that is what I decided to do.  I took the flower image  and stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Whisper White.  Then using the small fill in image I inked it up with Bermuda Bay ink and stamped it in the center of the flower.  Then without reinking I stamped it again on the right side of the flower.  And finally without reinking I stamped it again on the left side of the flower.  This gives you a flower with 3 shades of the same color.  This is a great way to add depth and interest to your image.  I repeated the same procedure with the other 2 flowers on the stamped image.  Then using the ink I stamped my sentiment from the same Love What You Do set.  I wrapped some of the Basic Black baker’s twine around the bottom of the card and then attached this panel to my 4′ x 5 1/4″ panel.  I took the washi tape and added a strip on each corner of the panel at the top.  This panel could easily be added to a Basic Black card base for a complete card.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape card swap idea.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be busy with making videos and cutting for my Christmas Card class that I have tomorrow.  Hopefully I can get a vet appointment for Bijou so I can get her medicine.  Have a Marvelous Monday and what color would you use for my Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape?
