Happy Friday Everyone ~ I played with the Stampin’ Up Merry Little Christmas dsp to create my C.A.S.E. the Catty challenge this week.
Well I got my project completed yesterday as well as some cards for my blog. I started cutting for my workshop so I need to finish that this morning as I have ladies coming this afternoon. I had hoped to have some time to play this morning but it doesn’t look like it is going to happen. Maybe I will have some time after they leave and before the girls get home to play a little. I may have some time on Saturday to play but not sure. I do need to get Jess’ birthday card made. Maybe I will have time today to at least start on it.
I had not played with the C.A.S.E. the Catty challenge in a while so I decided to play along. This week our challenge was to C.A.S.E. the Merry Little Christmas section of the Holiday catalog. I looked through the section and for some reason I was drawn to the card on page 18.
I just loved the hint of stripes down the side. I decided to use Stampin’ Up Merry Little Christmas dsp as it is one of my favorites from the catalog. I just love the patterns in this paper. The Old Olive diagonal striped paper was perfect for my stripe down the side. I took some liberty and added a piece of dsp in the middle rather than a stamped image. The Snowflake Sentiments bundle was used to stamp my sentiment and to cut out some snowflakes. The sentiment was punched out using a 2″ circle punch. It was mounted on a 2 1/4″ Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper circle. The sentiment was added to the card front using dimensionals. To add the snowflakes that were cut from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper I used Tombow multipurpose liquid glue. Here is my completed creation.
