Hello Everyone ~ I played again with the Stampin’ Up Pop of Paradise and have a simple card for you today.
I don’t know if you noticed but I totally forgot the music yesterday with my video. I guess I am more out of the swing of things than I thought. I am getting there and should have all the kinks worked out of my schedule in a few days. I also had someone question why the video was so fast and had no sound. My purpose behind the Fast & Fabulous Friday videos was to create a papercrafting video similar to the tasty videos you see on Facebook. This is where they create a recipe in less than a minute. While I do not think a papercrafting video could be created in less than a minute I do think this format can be used to create a quick video showing you how to make the card. My question for you is, do you like these videos? Do you want me to continue them? Would you like to see some other kind of video and if so what would you suggest? Let me know your thoughts.
My card today began with the stamp set Pop of Paradise. I found a great sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches
When I saw this sketch I knew I could use the leaves across the band and add the flamingo. I stamped several of the leaves and the flamingo and cut them out. After I had everything cut out I started placing them on the band to determine my layout. Once I had the layout figured out I added the images using glue dots and dimensionals. To make this band pop, I chose to use a black strip behind the band. These bands were attached to a Flirty Flamingo card base. Here is my Stampin; Up Pop of Paradise card.

Cute FLAMINGOs! I love flamingos but don’t have the desire to have one in a stamp set. Weird, huh?
That is funny! You need at least 1 in your stash!
This is my favorite card that you have created. Love it!
Thanks Barb! I love this set and will miss it when it retires in June!
