Stampin’ Up Split Card Textures Idea
Happy Friday Stampers – ready for a fun way to use busy pattern paper or one you don’t like by creating your version of Stampin’ Up Split Card Textures Idea.
We all have paper we don’t particularly like to one that is busy and too difficult to use on your cards. Today’s idea gives you a solution for that problem. Masking the paper with a die cut is perfect to take care of your problem. For this card I used a busy pattern paper and added one of the Split Card Textures dies over top. You don’t pay any attention to the busy pattern now.
The Split Card Textures dies are a great accent for you cards. You can put pattern paper behind it or card stock. It provides just the right texture for your cards.
Here is a quick video showing how I made today’s creation.
In this close up you can see the pattern paper that is in the background. You don’t pay any attention to it with the overlay of the texture die.
You can either use some of the pattern paper for the inside of your card or envelope or you can use the image like I did for my card.
I went looking for other cards using the Stampin’ Up Split Card Textures dies and could not find any. I must have used it for my Facebook Lives as I have used it. Instead here are some ideas for the Flowers of Friendship stamp set. This one has a fun checkerboard idea. Look at this fun idea that uses a color blocking idea with the flowers.
What paper would use with these dies? I would love to see your take on this idea.
