Hello Everyone ~ I used my favorite color combo – pink and green – for my Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Thank You creation today.
Well I did manage to get my house cleaned yesterday. I had a meeting in the morning and then had to do my shopping. I need food to eat so it took a while and then I had to clean. I did not get into my craft room at all. I need to get in there today as I need some videos and I have to work on my special project for my newsletter later this week. I have the cutest project for you so make sure you have signed up for my newsletter on the right. You don’t want to miss out on this idea!
I have to also go through my stuff and find some things I am going to donate and get them out of the house. I need to see what I will have left so I can get my things ready for the move. I don’t want to be caught at the last minute getting things straight. I have some retired items I want to sell also so I need to get those out and listed. So much to do and so little time!
We have an Inspiration Challenge this time at Hand Stamped Sentiments
When I saw this photo I so wished we had the cute flamingo set that was in last year’s catalog so I could use it. Since we don’t I decided to go with a tropical theme and use the Tropical Chic bundle. I began by stamping my flower and leaves several times. Then I use the coordinating framelits to cut them out. I chose to use one of the sentiments from the stamp set and I stamped it and mounted it onto a piece of Blushing Bride card stock. The bars were stamped with Shaded Spruce and I used the sentiment layer to determine the placement of them. The sentiment was the next element added and I used dimensionals to adhere it to the card panel. I then started placing the flowers and leaves like I wanted them. Once I knew where I was going to add them, I attached them with either snail or dimensionals. This panel was added to a Blushing Bride card base. To finish off the creation I added rhinestones to the center of the flowers. Here is my Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Thank You.
