Stampin’ Up’s Layered Leaves Dragonfly

Hello Stampers ~ a simple Stampin Up’s Layered Leaves Dragonfly card for you today.

I had a good day with Remi yesterday.  She got here and wanted breakfast so I fixed her a croissant with carob chips ~ her favorite!  She watched some TV and colored some.  She then wanted lunch and afterwards we went outside and she wanted to swing.  We came back in and I had lunch and then she took a nap.  After her nap we went outside and blew bubbles.  We were outside when her mom came to pick her up.  There were lots of snuggles and hugs all day.  I think she had a fun day!

I saw a clean and simple sketch challenge at Fab Friday challenges

Now that I had my layout I need to choose some colors.  I found some great ones at Just Us Girls challenge blog.
I began by using the Layering Leaves embossing folder on my Crumb Cake card front.  For the berry color, I used the Tutti-Frutti designer series paper (it does not look it in my photo but it is Berry Burst) for the banner.  Just to let you know my Creations of the Month for March uses the Tutti-Frutti dsp so you will want to keep your eye out for it.  The Banner Triple punch was used to flag the end of the strip.  Whisper White baker’s twine was used to tie around the top of the strip.  The strip was added to the card front using Tear & Tape.   To make my dragonfly, I used a piece of the Myths & Magic glimmer paper to cut out the solid image and Basic Black to cut out the outlined image.  Dots of Multipurpose Liquid glue were added to the back of the outlined image and then the 2 were attached.  I added the dragonfly using dimensionals.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up’s Layered Leaves Dragonfly.
