Happy Friday Ladies ~ Today I created a Swirly Bird Tag card that is super cute!
I took yesterday and did something just for me. I went to the yarn store and spent almost the whole afternoon there. I needed a break from all the chaos here. I wanted to make sure all my peeps knew before I announced it here. I have been busy painting and organizing to put my house on the market. When it sells I am moving to North Carolina. It has been a challenge trying to organize my craft supplies so I can continue creating and holding my classes. Over the next few days I will be sharing some of the organizing things I have been using.
Let’s start with paper ~ if you are planning a move or even a remodeling you may need to empty your craft room. When faced with that daunting task, you need to have a way to organize your paper. I began with 9″ x 12″ Office Depot Job Ticket holders. I got mine from Amazon.
I took one holder for each color and added my opened packs of paper and scraps. If I had unopened packs I added them behind the holder with that color.
Now that I had all my paper in a holder, I needed a way to organize all my paper. I had Kallex shelf units from Ikea on my walls. In the units I had cloth Drona boxes in the openings. These were perfect for the holders and paper. I have all my paper ~ all the collections and the In Colors ~ in 3 of these boxes. I have some colors that have more than one package of paper and I just have them behind the holder. This has been great as I can move the boxes from room to room as needed. I have them currently under a table I have in my craft room and can pull them out as needed. I hope this idea will help any of you that may need to organize your paper.
Are you ready for a Fast & Fabulous idea? This one was the result when I ran across a tag challenge on one of my challenge blogs and decided I wanted to play with the idea. Here is my video showing how I created this card.
Here is the photo of the card.
