Happy New Year!
Hello Stampers! Did you have a nice evening last night? It was quiet for me. I spent the evening knitting and watching tv. Perfect end to a great year.
We have a new challenge at Sunny Stampin Morning Chat. With the new year we thought it would be fun to make a calendar. I was stumped as to what to do so I checked out Stampin Connection – an online group for SU demos – and ran across a calendar by Vickie Cobler. Her post led me to Judy’s blog where I saw the first version. I liked the idea that this could also be a card that could be sent to someone. In fact I have the perfect person to send this to and may even make a couple more to send out.
I wasn’t sure what colors to use so I went looking at some color challenges. I ran across the color challenge at Stampin’ Royalty.
I liked these colors so I decided to use them. I also used some of the new products that will be available in the new Occasions Mini in a few days. Here is what I created.
Here are the first 3 months.
the second set of 3 months
the third set of 3 months
the last set of months
The card calendar uses a ribbon to ensure it stays standing on the desk. You can see the 2 holes and ribbon in the picture above. It is tied in the front (first picture). Here is a picture of the inside so you can see how it stays up.
The only thing you have to remember is to make sure you put the months on the card so the second set of months is on the back side when the first 3 months are facing you. This way the card only needs to be untied and switched 1 time. Hope you enjoyed my calendar card! Thanks for looking and have a Sensational New Year Sunday!

Robbie, this is so beautiful! And practical too! I think I'll have to make one! 🙂 Carol Smith
Robbie, what a great idea. I love the way you made your calendar a standing one. Would look nice on my desk. I may have to copy.
Robbie, I really like the soft colors in your calendar, perfect for any decor. The use of the edgelit die and striped paper really looks pretty! Thanks for playing along in Morning Chat! See you soon!
Very nicely done! and great use of the colors for this week! I may just have to make some of these myself! Thanks for playing this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge!
