The Little Moments

Happy Monday Everyone!

So I hope you are ready to start the week off with a bang.  It is always good to have a full week with lots of plans.  I have some appointments this week, work, and at the end of the week I am meeting my good friend.  I also have a dinner meeting with other demos on Sunday.  So I have a full week and I am excited about it.

I was so busy before Convention making swaps that I did not get a lot of time to do many challenges.  I decided to play along with several of them over the next few days.  For today’s card I began with the
color challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches  

For some reason there seems to be several challenges using Wisteria lately.  Since I had just used it in my card yesterday, I decided to use it sparingly on my card today.  It has been a while since I played with the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew Challenges and they have a fun one this week.    

When I started out I thought I could use the colors for flowers but I really wanted to try something different.  I had this idea to use the colors as a sunrise and then use the new Woodland embossing folder and emboss a piece of vellum to go over my sunrise.  Since I am using vellum, this also fits the challenge at “Just us Girls” challenge        

So I started out making my sunrise on a piece of white.  Then I embossed my vellum and attached it to the white.  It was somewhat lost so I took my Soft Suede sponge dauber and did not ink it up but just lightly rubbed it over the embossed trees.  This helped highlight them so they now stood out a little.  I attached this panel to my card base.  Then all I had to do was add the rest of my elements.  I decided to add my sentiment to the rectangle element.  I then decided to add some butterflies for the square elements.  I added a rhinestone to the center.  My final element was the 3 dots on the side.  I pulled out my candy dots and added them.  Here is what my final creation looked like.

I am not sure the look I was going for worked but I had fun playing!
