Good Morning Ladies!
Yesterday I promised to share some pics from my weekend. We left early on Friday so that we could check out a few yarns stores. We went down to St. Michael’s to check out the Frivolous Fibers yarn store. There was some gorgeous yarn in the store. I got a beautiful coral with a silver thread running through it. The lady at the shop recommended we have lunch at the Town Dock. We had a great view of the water.
One of the appetizers they had on the menu was flatbread crab pizza. We both ordered it and it was delicious.
We went back to the hotel and checked in as that evening we had a group dinner. We all spent some knitting after that.
The next morning we had a session with another yarn shop for a yarn dying demonstration. It was fun to see the process of hand dying. While this was on a small scale to show us the process you can only imagine what the process would be on a larger scale.
Then in the afternoon we had a session at a store that specialized in ceramics and glass. Some of the ladies made yarn bowls and some of use created some glass pendants. I made 2 pendants. It will take about 2 months before I get them as everything has to be fired. I will share them when I receive them. The evening was on our own and we decided to go back to the Town Dock for dinner with some other ladies. We all had a delicious meal.
Sunday morning we had a breakfast buffet. Mary and I left after that as Sunday was Zoie’s birthday and I wanted to be back for her cake. It was a nice weekend! Now I know you are ready to see my card!
My card today is one I created for a challenge at SUDSOL. We were to use the new Spiral Flower Die. I had gone to Candice’s and cut some out to play with. I had cut one out of So Saffron and decided to sponge the edges with Rose Red. When you put these together they tell you to spritz it with some water. When I did that the Rose Red ran and softened. I love the look it created. Here is what I created for the challenge.

The spiral flower die is fun to play with but this is one you would need to hand deliver or put in a little box to mail.
Thanks for visiting me today. I have some more of these flowers I cut and I can’t wait to play with them. Have a Terrific Tuesday!
Robbie
