The Paper Plunge – Spotlighting

Happy Friday Stampers!

I had to work last evening for the college so I did not get to work on my taxes.  I will spend some time today again.  My goal is to get all my info into my spread sheet so I can begin filling out the forms.  I am hoping to be able to file my taxes this weekend.  Wish me luck!

Today is day 24 of the 30 day Color Challenge.

As I was working in my room, I ran across my Pure Color Pencils.  I decided to use them to color an image I had stamped.  Here is what I colored.

The challenge this week at The Paper Plunge is Spotlighting.  I have not played with this technique in quite a while.  I went looking through my catalog for an image that I could use.  I thought it would be fun to use the Regarding Dahlias flower.

I wanted to use a sketch challenge so I checked out my challenge blogs and ran across a sketch challenge at I Love Card Sketches.

I stamped my image and then used a 1 1/4 inch circle punch to punch out a section of the flower.  I colored it and then mounted it on a 1 3/8 inch circle of black.  I used some In Color pattern pack ds paper to add a strip across the bottom.  I then just needed to add a sentiment.  Here is what I created.

You have to go to The Paper Plunge blog to see what the other ladies have created.  There is quite a bit of talent on this team so I am sure there are some awesome creations.  We would love to have you play along with us.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will take a little time to play in between my taxes.  It will be my reward for working on them.  Have a Fabulous Friday!
