The Paper Plunge – technique week

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday I was excited as I finished another shawl I have had on my needles for quite some time.  When I finished my Christmas present for my sister (which she hasn’t gotten yet as I was sick) I decided to spend some time completing some of my projects that I have on needles.  There was another reason for this decision.  Here lately when I went looking for needles for a project I could not find any tips as they were already with a project.   So I have one project completed and off the needles and many left to go.

Today is the challenge at The Paper Plunge.  This week our challenge was to use a technique on your card.  I had no clue what I was going to do as Jess needed a baby card to send out.  I went to SplitcoastStampers and checked out their techniques.  There were several I liked that I thought would be fun but I decided to do the grid technique.  I have to tell you it took me 3 tries before I got the grid correct.  The directions were not clear to me so I ended up using the picture.

After I had the grid correct, I sponged on some Soft Sky all over the cardstock.  Then I came back and added some Marina Mist to the edges.  The technique has you stamp on top of the grid.  I decided to use the Chevron background stamp.  I used Marina Mist to stamp the chevron.  When it was finished I am wondering if I should have used Soft Sky for the chevron.  Here is what I created for our challenge.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have a busy day today so I hope I get everything done.  Have a Fabulous Friday!
