Thursday Product Focus

Hello Ladies ~It is Thursday so that means it is Thursday Product Focus day.

Well yesterday was a day to try and get some clerical things done for me.  I am making some changes and I had some background tasks to do.  I managed to get a few of them completed.  I did not get my phone calls made so I will be trying to get them done today.  I also need to vacuum!  It seems like I am always vacuuming!

We have our Product Focus blog hop today.  This week we are focusing on the Carried Away dsp from the Sale-abration catalog.  You should have arrived here from Jenilee’s blog – Artisans Anonymous.

This paper has some patterns that I find challenging to use.  I knew I needed a sketch that had several layers in order for my card to work.  I found a sketch challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges

I decided to use the challenging paper on my card today.  I began with the patchwork green pattern in the collection.  This is the paper that I find challenging to use.  I added a piece to a layer of Mint Macaron.  These layers were added to a Whisper White card base.  Since this paper is challenging I decided to add another layer on top like the sketch.  I chose the navy Blue patterned paper as I like the look of this paper.  I added it to the card base using dimensionals.  Now I need the circle element.  I chose another pattern the pack for the circle.  That is what is so great about our patterned papers, they are all designed to go together which takes the guess work out of whether 2 papers will work together or not.  Now I needed a sentiment.  I searched through all my sets and finally found one that I thought would work with the them or the paper in Sky’s the Limit.  I stamped it and flagged the ends.  It was added to my card using dimensionals.  My card is complete.  Here is my completed creation.

Want to see some ideas for this dsp?  Head on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see which patterns she chose to use and what she did to them.  Make sure you follow the hop all the way through to see what the other ladies created with this paper collection.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am headed to the yarn store this morning and then to my craft room this afternoon.  Have a Great Day and I hope you are enjoying our Thursday Product Focus ideas.
