Thursday’s Focus

Hello Everyone ~ Would you like to see a Thursday’s Focus as a new item on my blog?

Well the dentist went well.  I did not have any cavities which makes me happy.  They have 1 tooth they are watching but I won’t know about it until next June when they take more x-rays.  I am glad I am good for 6 months!

Today we are starting a new adventure.  Each week we are going to take a product and highlight it.  All those on the hop will use the same product and share with you our way of using it.  Since we all have different styles, you hopefully should see a variety of ways to use the same product.

This week we have chosen to spotlight Twinkle Trees and Tin of Tag stamp sets.  I stamped the tree using Old Olive.  The swirls were added using Real Red ink.  I used the retired Itty Bitty punch pack to punch out a star from gold glimmer paper.  Not I needed to make my card base.  I chose to use Real Red.  I have some of the Fancy Frost Specialty designer series paper.  This paper is made to be sponged to highlight the pattern.  I had tried that but did not have any success so I decided to use the paper as it is.  I attached this to my card base using Tear & Tape.  I cut a strip of Real Red card stock and a strip of Gold Glimmer paper.  I attached the red to my card base at an angle.  I then added my gold glimmer paper on top centering it.  I chose my sentiment and stamped it in red.  It was too large for my card to make it look right so I took the sentiment and cut it in half.  I mounted both pieces onto a piece of Real Red card stock.  The first part of the sentiment was added to the top of the card and the last part was added to the bottom of the card.  I added the tree image to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am headed to the yarn shop today.  I have 2 projects almost finished that I will finish up.  If I am lucky I may even get to start on one of my other incomplete projects.  Have a Great Day and let me know what you think of the Thursday’s Focus feature.
