Hello Everyone ~ I have a Touches of Texture Thank You card for you today.
I managed to make several cards yesterday as well as another video for my Creations of the Month. I also went to the store and picked up some necessities I need now that Jess has moved out. I got the supplies to make some soup today so I will be working on that today along with playing in my craft room.
Another item I will be using in my Creations of the Month for January is the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. These folders are a narrow size rather than the regular size. They measure 2 1/4″ x 6 1/2″. They are the perfect size to create a vertical or horizontal panel on your card. They have 2 patterns ~ a row of stems with leaves and a flower spray. Here is the picture I took of the folders. I put a piece of Basic Black card stock behind them so you could see the pattern.
I spent some time the other day cleaning up my tables where I stamp. With all I had going on in December, I just kept piling things on it. I had to clean it up as I was running out of space to craft. In my cleaning, I ran across several cards and pieces I had working on a while ago to make cards with but had not used. Yesterday was the perfect day to use some of them. The one today began with the Touches of Texture stamp set. I stamped the 2 flowers randomly on a panel of Whisper White using Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst ink pads. I used some retired dsp in Bermuda Bay to add a piece at the bottom of the panel. A strip of the Color Theory dsp was added on top. Using the Whisper White baker’s twine I wrapped it around the dsp and secured on the back using some Tear & Tape. A multi loop bow was created using the twine and added with a glue dot. A piece of Berry Burst that is the same width as the Pretty Label punch was cut and inserted into the punch from the back side to create the decorative end. This piece was stamped with the lacy strip in the set and then added to the panel. The panel was attached to a Berry Burst card base. The sentiment was stamped with Berry Burst on a scrap of Whisper White and punched out with a circle punch. It was added to the decorative strip using dimensionals. Here is my completed Touches of Texture Thank You card.
