Two Tone Flora cover plate ideas
Hello Everyone – I played with some Two Tone Flora cover plate ideas in my You tube Live and had to share them with you.
I had never played with the cover plate and knew that you hadn’t either. I decided it was time for me to share some ideas with you so you would use yours also. My first idea was to use the cover plate in White and back it with some ombre patterned paper. I found a pretty blue in the Bright & Beautiful dsp. I did add some more ink to make sure it was dark enough to show through the die cut.
The next idea is a great way to 2 cards for the work of one. You cut the die and put it onto a card front. Then you use ink and blending brushes to color the cover plate. The panel underneath gets colored at the same time giving you 2 cards.
The cover plate in the set of dies is one that is overlooked. It may be a challenge to work with but give it a try. If you don’t have these dies you will want to order them after you see my ideas.
I used a variety of ribbons on my cards. The Boho Blue jute twine was deconstructed for the blue card. The multicolored cards uses 2 different black ribbons. Check out how each card looks a different ribbon for a great all occasion card.
The greatest part of using a cover plate die on your card is you can use any sentiment in your stash for your cards. I chose 3 different ones for my cards.

Here are some other ideas using this stamp set. This one uses a bright color for a pretty card. Here is a simple idea using just 2 colors.
