Unicorn Handmade Card

Hello Stampers ~ I have a Unicorn Handmade Card for my share today.

Well we got the card made yesterday.  It is a challenge as her attention span is not very long.  She loves to craft also which helps.  She had to color, cut, and glue then tell me what she wanted to say.  It took us a while but we got it done.  Now the cards are completed and I will deliver them to the girls on Mother’s Day when I go over there.  I can’t wait to see Jess’ face with the things they had to say about her.

I needed to make some cards to send to the girls and I had saved an idea I saw on Facebook.  I decided to give it a try and put my spin on it.  I began by making my flowers.  I sponged color onto a piece of card stock.  Then using the Seasonal Layers thinlits I cut them out.  Next I had to make my horn.  I cut a rectangle and then cut from the lower edge up the to center of the edge at the top.  I repeated on the other side to get my horn.  This was added to center top of the card base.  Next I added the flowers I had cut using the thinlits.  For my eyes I punched a circle out of a scrap of card stock.  I used the bottom edge of the circle to trace a half circle.  I repeated on the other side to have my 2 eyes.  I added some lashes and then some rhinestones so there was some bling.  I used the scrap with the circle I punched out to sponge on some pink for the cheeks.  For the ears, I punched out a circle then inserted the circle back into the punch to punch out the oval shape.  I used my stylus to score a line down the center of the oval and sponged on some pink.  Pinching the scored line gave me the shape of the ear.   The ears were added on either side of the horn.  Every Unicorn needs some stars so I used the star strip from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits and Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper to make my stars.  These were sprinkled onto the top of the card base at the top.  To finish off my card I stamped the sentiment in matching color to the stars and mounted it onto a piece of matching glimmer paper.  Here is my completed Unicorn Handmade Card.
