Warm Hello

Hello Stampers ~ Are you in need of a Warm Hello?

I managed to get a few things done yesterday after my workshop and running some errands.  I worked some more on stenciling the cover to my planner, made 2 cards, cut all the pieces for my thank you cards from October (yes I know I am way behind), and went to a class last night.  Today I am hoping to get some cards made and then I am babysitting Remi as Jess is going out for New Year’s.  I won’t get anything done while I have her so I have to work around when I am free.

My card today uses a piece of watercolor paper that I used to take advantage of the extra ink I had left of my non stick mat after making my large piece.  This one was made the same way as the other one.  I used Soft Sky ink on the mat and spritzed it with water, smooshed the watercolor paper in the ink, and set aside to dry.  The technique was repeated with Marina Mist ink and then Dapper Denim letting the ink dry in between each color.  I used the beautiful snowflake from Tin of Tags to stamp on the front of the card base.  I used tear & tape to attach the watercolor piece to the card base.  Masking was used to stamp just the word “Warm” and then the hello was added underneath.  I rounded opposite corners on the sentiment layer.  A piece of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper was cut a little larger and the opposite corners were rounded.  Then the same procedure was used for a layer of Marina Mist for the bottom.  All papers were layered then a strip of silver ribbon was added to the back of the sentiment layer.   It was added to the card front with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I had a snowflake edge die that I cut from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper also.  It was added to the watercolor layer using Tombow glue.  Here is my finished card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  The weather the next few days is supposed to be warmer.  I so love snow and would like to have some.  Guess I will have to wait til maybe next weekend when it will be colder.  Have a Super Saturday and enjoy my Warm Hello today!
