Water Spritzed Stamping Technique

Hello Everyone ~ I have a new idea for you today with my Water Spritzed Stamping Technique.

Well I was pretty successful yesterday.  I got to the bank, washed Bijou’s blankets and set up her cubby, made my 2 videos, and made 2 cards.  The third card has the pieces stamped and cut out I just need to put it together.  This is all the tasks I had to get done so I can continue to post next week while I have the girls.  Today I want to get all my videos edited and uploaded to You Tube so I can schedule them.  Today I am running errands with Barb I think as well as finishing up the last few things I need to get organized for the girls who will be here sometime tomorrow.  Once they get here my time will be limited as I will have to  make sure I am ready to do what they want.

Today my card was inspired by Birgit Edblom.  I have admired her work for a while.  She is a fabulous watercolorist.  A lot of her cards are watercolored rather than stamped images.  She had created a card using the technique I used on mine so I decided to make my version.  I began with the Bouquet Bunch stamp set.  The stem stamp was inked up using Soft Suede.  It was then spritzed with water and stamped on the card front.  I waited a little for the ink to dry some then I inked up the flower bunch using Blushing Bride, spritzed with water and stamped it onto the top of the stems.  This was done a couple of times to fill in the stems.  After allowing a little time to dry, I inked up the same stamp with Melon Mambo and used the same procedure of spritzing and stamping.  I did this a couple of times also to fill in the stems.  This panel needs to dry completely before the next step.  When the image was totally dry, I masked off the lower corner of the image area and sponged on Soft Suede keeping the corner dark and fading out.  The sentiment was stamped using Soft Suede ink.  The panel was added to the card base using fun foam.  Here is my completed Water Spritzed Stamping Technique creation.

I love trying new techniques and revisiting older ideas. Here is a technique that has been around for a while. Make sure you head over to my blog to see my Water Spritzed Stamping Technique.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  Bijou seems to like her cubby.  She has rearranged her blankets to her liking.  I am glad she likes it.  Have a Super Saturday and what did you think of this Water Spritzed Stamping Technique creation?
