Watermelon Thank You

Good Morning Everyone ~ today’s card uses the pretty color Watermelon to make a Thank You card.

I have a jam packed day today.  I have an appointment at 9, a workshop at 11:30, and I have to work at the college Open House tonight from 4 to 7.  I am going to be so tired this evening.  Good thing tomorrow is a quiet day!

Our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop is today.  We

Stampin’ Up color matches

This picture was perfect for our hop today as everyone is prepping for picnics and fireworks.  I wanted to find a different kind of sketch for today’s challenge.  I found a great one at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I began with the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I stamped the leaf spray and the flower.  I then used the framelits to cut them out.  I did not pay attention, but the framelits do not cut around the shape but rather cuts an outline.  So I had to start again.  I stamped the leaf spray and flower and fussy cut them out.  I then took the framelits and cut them out in Real Red and Mint Macaron.  I sponged the Mint Macaron with the same color ink to make it a little darker.  I then applied Tombow Multipurpose glue to the framelits and added them on top of the stamped images.  I created my main panel  and stamped the sentiment.

Next I used the Wonderful Wreath framelits to cut out one in Crumb Cake.  I then used the circle framelits to cut out the center to create a wreath shape.  I attached it to the card front and slipped one corner into the wreath and attached the rest of the card using dimensionals.  Here is my completed card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will miss not having some time in my craft room.  I have a project I need to start working on as I have a time frame for it.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and what would your watermelon thank you look like?
