Wine charms

Merry Christmas!

I have some cute wine charms for you today!  The sets used to make these are available until the end of the month so if you want to make some, make sure you order them before the month is over.

Well the big day is finally here!  I finished my present yesterday and wrapped it so I am all set.  How about you, were you ready?  The girls were so excited!  It is always fun to see the look on their faces.  This is Remi’s first Christmas that she will be able to understand what is going on.  She has been trying to open any gift she can find under the tree for several days.  Watch today she won’t want to open any of them!

As you know I was working on a Christmas present that I said I would share.  I haven’t been able to share it until now.  I made this gift for Michaela’s mother in law.  I saw this in a demo group on Facebook I am in.  I knew when I saw it I had to make some for her as she would love them.

I used some shrink plastic and the Cookie Cutter bundle and the Reason for the Season stamp set.  I stamped the images using Staz-On Ink.  Then on the back side I colored them using Sharpie markers.  For the Reindeer the brown was too dark to see the details, so I used a sanding block and sanded the back side of the image.  Then I used colored pencils to color it in.  After I had them colored I used the large hole on the Crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top.  Then I baked them in my toaster oven until they shrunk.  All that needed to be done was to add the jump ring in the hole.  Then using the wine charm rings I added beads and the little image.  I made sure the beads were different colors so that people could identify their glass from someone else’s.  Here are pictures of the charms.  I forgot to take pictures before I sent it so I had Michaela take them after Rose had opened them.  They are not the best shots as they did not have good daylight, but hopefully you will get the idea.

Stampin’ Up supplies used to create my charms

Thanks for visiting me today.  I appreciate your taking time out of your day to stop by and check out my creation.  I hope you had a great day with your family and friends!  Have a Sensational Merry Christmas and what other sets could you use to create your own wine charms?
