Hello Everyone ~ I love winter cards and Winter Woods by Stampin’ Up is a great set to use to create them.
Have you played with your winter sets yet? Winter cards are some of my favorite to design. The Winter Woods by Stampin’ Up set and In the Woods dies are great product to use to make your cards.
We have our first challenge of 2021 at Hand Stamped Sentiments beginning today. This time we have an Inpsiration challenge.
There were so many pictures on this poster that spoke to me. I loved the red bird in the snow. The sentiment rectangle was what caught my eye right away. Those frosted trees in the upper corner were very pretty. And who doesn’t love that adorable snowman?
I had to decide which I was going to use for my card for the challenge. I crossed off the red bird and I really don’t have any bird stamps, dies, or punches I could use. The same was true of the snowman ~ I can’t believe I don’t have a snowman. The sentiment rectangle I could do with the Curvy dies but I do not have current alphabet dies do that one was out. That left the frosted trees so that was the inspiration for my card.
I knew I could use the Curvy dies to make the snow hills. I also had the Winter Woods stamp set that had bare trees and an evergreen tree. Now that I had all the elements I was ready to design. Here is the finished Winter Woods by Stampin’ Up creation.

Here are some other ideas using the Winter Woods stamp set. While they may be Christmas you could easily use different colors to use them for other times of the year.
