Zoie’s Punch Art – bird

Good Morning Everyone!

So what are your plans for today?  I am headed to my other passion today – knitting.  I will spend the afternoon at our local yarn store with my friend knitting.  I have several projects I am working on.  How about you, do you have any other passions besides playing with paper?

Today is my punch art card that I give to Zoie.  She loves getting these cards.  Each week I try to find a card to give her that is special in some way.  A few weeks ago we got a bird feeder as she enjoyed watching them at her great grandma’s.  She has enjoyed watching them and Jess even bought a bird identification book.  I thought it would be fun to make the bird feeder and a bird.

I went looking for a framelit I could use for the top and bottom of the feeder.  I thought the Labels Collection would look very similar to the feeder.  I combined it with some window sheet.  I sponged some color and added stamped dots to mimic the bird feed.

One of the first bird that came to the feeder was a Chipping Sparrow.

I decided to see if I could make that one.  I sponged on some Crumb Cake.  Then using the Gorgeous Grunge set I added some strips and dots.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I had a lot of fun playing with all the elements to make the bird feeder and the coloring of the bird.  Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you will try some punch art on your own.  Have a Great Day!
