Zoie’s punch art – dragonfly

Good Morning Stampers!

Well I had a successful day yesterday.  I did have to watch Zoie quite a bit as Jess had a horrendous headache.  I managed to get my Black and White with a pop of color completed, my Tag swap is almost done (I have 2 that I put the ribbon on the wrong side), and I got the watercoloring for my 3 x 3 completed.  I am pleased but still have quite a few things to get finished.

Today is my punch art for Zoie.  A few days ago we saw a black and white dragon fly and she asked what it was.  We looked at it a little and then it flew away.  I thought I would make her a dragonfly to remind her of the one we saw.  I did a google search and came up with a site that had a picture of one I could use to make my version.  Here is the original site

I have coneflowers in the front of my house and that is where we saw them flying around.  I decided to make my version of my coneflowers also for my card.  Here is my version of both of the items.

I had fun making this dragonfly.  I tried some vellum for the wings to give it the transparent look.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping to get some more completed on my swaps so I can make my pillow gifts.  Have a Great Day!

  2. Adorable!!! Dragonflies are magical…at least to me…hope that Zoie is getting old enough now to appreciate and love your cards, and not tear them apart! Your ideas and creations are always a delight!
