An inspired challenge

Happy Friday Ladies!

Today’s card was actually inspired by a card by Stampin’ With Markie’s Mom. When I saw her card I was so inspired. I decided to see if I could use her idea for my card. I used the sketch challenge at Cards & Things.

I stamped my image and used markers to color it in. Next I sponged the edges with Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade. I mounted my image on Basic Black and used the white gel pen to add dots around the edges. I used a marker and colored just the word “believe” on the Just Believe saying stamp. After I had it stamped I mounted it on Poppy and then Black. I thought it would be fun to sponge the background of the 2 bottom panels. I sponged them all over but then went back and added more sponging on the panels. I was actually going to reverse the colors but when I put them with the main image panel I didn’t like the look so I reversed my original idea. I stamped and cut out the single flower image. To finish the card I added some gold gel pen for the stamens and center of the flower. Here is the sketch and what I created.

And now I have some more display boards for you.

I am off to my daughter’s to help her paint and clean before her furniture arrives. Will post more display board pics for you tomorrow.

Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
