I wanted to try a technique that I saw a month or so ago. It is called inlaid embossing.
I began with the color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations
I pulled out my sizzlets which I had not used in quite some time. I cut the flowers out and then used the white gel pen to trace around the embossed image so it would show up when I embossed it. I also used the 1/4″ circle punch to make the center of the flower. After I had my pieces all glued down, I ran the paper through the Big Shot with the Textured Impressions embossing folder. The clue is to make sure the pieces are glued down fully so they don’t pop up when you emboss them. Here is my creation.

Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

I Love this technique, I learnt it recently myself with a valentines card that had hearts inlaid. In fact, I bought that same embossing folder because of it! I love your idea of outlining the image too. 🙂
I love this technique and you did it so well! Isn't it amazing that the die cuts appear to be part of the paper!
VERY cool technique, Robbie! I also really like the outline with the white gel pen. I'm excited to try this out! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Nice card, inside & out! Thanks for joining us at PPC this week, hope to see you again
