I am really going to date myself here, but the entire time I was making this card I kept singing this song. When I chose my flower die, the patterned paper, and the scrumptous ribbon all I could think of was Prom night.
The challenge at Clear Dollar Stamps is to create any card or project and use pearls (pearls, pearlized paper, pearlized embossing powder, etc.). I had this vision of using die cuts to create a soft flower with curled edges similar to the one create by Julie and using pearls in some way. I got my dies and chose Bella Rose PP. I then went looking for a ribbon as my vision was to wrap the ribbon and pearls around the card and make a bow. While looking for a pink ribbon I ran across this gorgeous satin ribbon I had gotten from Stampin’ Up last year and had never used. It immediately made me think of Prom and I took off from there.
I made my flowers with the patterned paper and when I went to put them together it didn’t look right so I decided to add some cardstock in a matching color. Once I did this I layered the flowers bent up the edges on each layer and added the pearl in the center. I layed the ribbon and flowers on the card and it still needed something so I pulled out a background sent and stamped the background with it. I then attached the ribbon and glued the layer to the card. I then decided on the placement of my flowers and started attaching the pearls using Crystal Effects. When I was finished it still needed something so I made a bow out of the ribbon and attached it with a glue dot to the ribbon.
I think this card is very pretty. It is so feminine looking I know I have a few visitors who will love it (Hi Sandy! This one is for you). What are your thoughts about this card? Let me know.

WOW, this card is so Beautiful!!
Right on girlfriend. Love everything about it, layout, color, flowers, paper, ribbon, and pearls. So feminine, elegant and girly-girly. How do you get that ribbon so nice with the tie so flat? I worked on one last night and could not get it straight with the ties below the ribbon.
