Happy Monday Everyone ~ I have a great masculine thank you card today with my Sailing Home Thanks creation.
I totally forgot I had to meet Jess to get Zoie for the week yesterday so that cut into my time in my studio. I did manage to make 2 cards. Since I did not get as much time up there yesterday I will spend some time there today. Zoie loves to craft also so she will be with me. I will take her to the pool either in the morning or the afternoon depending on the weather. I will then use the other part of the day to make my videos and more cards. It will be a low key day as I need some time to regroup after my company and before the family gets here.
Today’s card was inspired by 2 challenges. The first was for a lighthouse challenge at Festive Friday A Papercrafting Challenge.
I also used the sketch challenge at Fab Friday
I needed a Thank You card for the couple that invited me to dinner tonight so I knew these challenges would be perfect. I opted to use the Sailing Home bundle since we have a lot of water around us. I chose the Come Sail Away designer series paper with the sailboats on it and mounted it onto a Night of Navy card base. Since the challenge was to use a lighthouse, I used a Basic Black, Gray Granite, and Smoky Slate marker to ink up the lighthouse image. I stamped it off and then stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White. The coordinating framelit was used to cut it out. I mounted it onto the card base using dimensionals. This was for the circle element in the sketch. The sentiment was stamped with White craft ink onto a Night of Navy strip and then embossed with White embossing powder. Some linen thread was used to tie a square knot and then I added it to the other end of the Night of Navy strip using Tear & Tape to hold the ends on the back. The anchor trinket was added using glue dots and then the sentiment strip was adhered using dimensionals. Here is the completed Sailing Home Thanks creation.

Very pretty! Love the lighthouse background paper. Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday, hope to see you again soon!
Thanks Amy! I love this bundle!
Nice! I like the 2 toned lighthouse! The 2 colors give it a bit more visibility (haha!) against the blue DSP. Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
Thanks Amanda! I am in North Carolina and when I went looking for examples of lighthouses here that is what they look like.
So pretty, Robbie – I’m really liking this new lighthouse so much – it looks awesome over that DSP! So cool that there’s a “Lighthouse Day” lol – I never knew… Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
Thanks Heather! This was the only bundle I got in the preorder. I have used it a lot!
Love this Robbie! That little sailors knot detail is the perfect touch. Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday!
Thanks Anne Marie! I have used that sailors knot a lot. It looks really good with the baker’s twine.
Beautiful, Robbie! The knotted twine is the perfect accent! I love how you embossed the sentiment in white. It really stands out! Thank you for sharing with Festive Friday!
Thanks Ann!
